We’re excited to share a glimpse into the epic story of the Battle for Skid Row. This isn’t just an account of our last six years on the streets—the people we’ve come to know and love, the prayers lifted, and the lives touched. It’s also the story of how Skid Row came to be in the first place, the forces—both seen and unseen—that shaped it, and why this small stretch of Los Angeles carries such immense value in the heart of God.
Battle for Skid Row uncovers the origins of this region, exposes the unseen battle that continues to rage there, and reveals why God has not forgotten this place or the people within it.
Skid Row is often described as “hell on earth.” Poverty, addiction, broken families, and despair are visible everywhere. Yet behind what the eyes can see is a much deeper reality—an invisible darkness working to keep people bound. Battle for Skid Row isn’t just about the conditions on the streets; it’s about exposing the real enemy that fuels these destructive cycles and pointing to the hope of freedom that can be found in Christ.
Through personal stories, spiritual insight, and hard truths, this book will show both the tragedy and the triumph we’ve witnessed while ministering on Skid Row. It will highlight the incredible men and women who have opened their hearts, joined us in prayer, and reminded us that even in the darkest places, God’s light is still breaking through.
We believe Battle for Skid Row will not only open eyes to the spiritual war happening in Los Angeles but also inspire faith that true transformation is possible.

The demonic angel hovering is to represent the demonic powers that rule the region. I know it sort of looks like Batman.
